Mental Health Insurance, Cost & Payment
– How It Works

──

Most of our therapists are in-network with most insurance carriers and we will do what we can to make it easy on you by doing all of the billing for you. To find out if therapy services are covered, we suggest calling your insurance provider and asking the following questions:
  • What are my mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible and how much is it?
  • Once my deductible is met, how much is my copayment per session?
  • Is there a limit on sessions per calendar year?
  • Does my plan cover an out-of-network provider?
  • Is prior approval required from my primary care physician?

Knowing your mental health insurance coverage is very important because if your insurance does not cover services then you are responsible for paying the uncovered fees. We will do everything we can to make it easy for you to use health insurance. You simply pay your deductible or copay at time of service and our administrative staff will submit the sessions to your insurance.

Below is a partial list of insurance companies we accept as a center. This may vary depending upon your therapist. Please make sure to verify any coverage with your insurance company.

Most of our therapists are In-Network with:
  • Aetna
  • Select health
  • Mountain Health Co-op
  • Blue Cross of Idaho--talks to BC national claims
  • Regence--talks to Blued Shield national claims
  • CIGNA
  • Pacific Source

How to Pay and Submitting Insurance
All fees that are not covered by insurance will be collected by your counselor at the time of service. You can pay with cash, checks, debit card, credit card or HSA card (Some of our counselors use other forms of electronic payment). Our office manager will submit all sessions to insurance for you.

Counseling Service Costs
The costs typically range from $125 to $200 per session depending on the psychological services provided. If you have questions about the costs, please contact the therapist you are interested in meeting with to discuss costs and services.

Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment or you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance of a cancelation, you will be required to pay the full cost of the counseling session as booked (unless stated otherwise by your therapist). Insurance doesn't cover missed appointments. We understand that there are events that are out of people’s control and have flexibility in this policy depending on the reason as well as frequency.
