About Mimi Fetzer, LCSW, EMDR

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Because emotional well-being is closely connected to how we relate to both our inner experiences and our physical bodies, I’ve developed extensive experience using approaches that support healing on both levels. In sessions, we pay attention not only to thoughts and emotions, but also to how they show up in the body and can be processed in healthier ways. Clients often share that this approach helps therapy feel more grounded, applicable to daily life, and more lasting than talk-only approaches they’ve tried before.

A Holistic Approach to Mind-Body Healing

With a background as a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and fitness instructor, I bring a holistic, wellness-based perspective to therapy, integrating evidence-based practices such as yoga, nutrition, and sleep support when helpful. My hope is that you leave our sessions feeling more supported and equipped, with practical tools to address challenges such as trauma, anxiety-based behaviors, addiction, and grief, while also feeling genuinely understood. Our work may include somatic approaches such as EMDR, hypnotherapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, alongside values clarification and acceptance-based work to help loosen patterns that have felt stuck or difficult to shift.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside of being a therapist, you may find me enjoying nature through rock climbing and river rafting, or spending quality time with loved ones. When I’m seeking gentler activities, I may be getting creative with cooking, reading a good book, or snuggling with my pup.
