About Kelly Eisenbarger, LMSW

Licensed Master Social Worker

Therapy works best when clients feel comfortable enough to show up as their full, authentic selves. I help do this by creating a space where you feel understood without judgment, supported in making sense of your experiences, and gently challenged to move toward meaningful change; we will be able to address the issues most important to you and make progress at making things better for you.

A Collaborative Approach

My clients describe my approach as warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Clients often tell me they appreciate that our sessions feel genuine and that I am actively engaged in the process. I ask thoughtful questions, help identify patterns, celebrate progress, and believe that even difficult therapeutic work can include moments of humor and hope. Together, we will explore not only what has been getting in your way, but also what can help you feel more grounded, connected, confident, and true to yourself.
I work with teens and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, substance use, identity exploration, and major life transitions. I am especially drawn to helping people better understand themselves, develop greater self-compassion, and build lives that feel more intentional and fulfilling. My work is informed by attachment theory, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt therapy to your needs, personality, strengths, and goals.
As an active member of Boise’s LGBTQIA+ community, I lead a local transgender support group and am passionate about creating affirming, inclusive spaces where people feel seen, respected, and empowered. I also enjoy working with artists, musicians, and others who want a therapist who values creativity alongside practical, evidence-based care.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside the therapy room, you will most likely find me hiking in the mountains, skiing, paddleboarding, spending time on the water, exploring Idaho with friends, or attempting to keep up with my two mischievous orange cats. I believe healing happens both inside and outside of therapy, and I would be honored to help you build a life that feels meaningful, connected, and authentically yours.
