Using Insurance for Mental Health Therapy in Boise, ID

Ideally, insurance would be easy to understand, but if you’re like most of us, it is the opposite. That is why at North End Wellness in Boise, we handle the billing for you and do our best to keep paperwork to a minimum. Our goal is for you to be able to focus on your mental health.

Therapy That Works. Counselors Who Care.

How to Check Your Mental Health Coverage

Most of our therapists are in-network with major insurance providers. If you're not sure what your plan covers, here’s a handy list of questions to ask your provider: ● What are my mental health benefits? ● Do I have a deductible? If so, how much is it? ● After I meet my deductible, what’s my copay per session?● Is there a limit to the number of sessions I can have per calendar year? ● Does my plan cover out-of-network therapists? ● Do I need approval from my primary care doctor first?
Knowing this upfront ensures there are no surprises later—because surprise bills are the worst kind of surprise. Our admin team is happy to help where we can, but the best first step is a quick call to your provider.

In-Network Insurance Providers

Our team works with a variety of insurance carriers. Coverage may vary depending on which therapist you see, so it’s a good idea to double-check with your provider too.
We’re in-network with:
● Blue Cross● Regence● Select Health● Pacific Source● Mountain Health Co-Op● Aetna● St. Luke's Health Plan (SLHP)● St. Alphsonus Trinity Health Network
Don’t see your provider on the list? Reach out—we may still be able to work with your plan or help you understand your out-of-network options.

Paying for Sessions

If your insurance doesn’t cover something—or you’re paying privately—we’ll keep it straightforward. Here’s how payment works:
Accepted payment methods: cash, check, credit/debit cards, and HSA cards.● Private pay rates: Sessions typically range from $125 to $200, depending on the type of service and the therapist.● Payment timing: Any fees not covered by insurance are due at the time of your session.
Some of our counselors may also accept additional forms of digital payment—just ask when scheduling.

Cancellation Policy

Life happens, and plans can change. But if you need to cancel your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. Otherwise, you’ll be responsible for the full session fee (unless your therapist says otherwise). Unfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover missed appointments. That said, we understand emergencies come up. If something unavoidable happens, talk to us. We’re flexible and always try to be fair.
